The faculty will be responsible for student instruction, and/or clinic supervision on a part-time basis in the Nursing Programs.
Education:
Faculty teaching undergraduate-level nursing courses must meet the following educational requirements:
-Current, active, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (Minimum)
-Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. (Minimum)
-Master’s Degree in Nursing (Desired), OR, completion of a MSN degree within the timeline established by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and submission of a written 5-year plan to do so; as well as produce a transcript yearly to demonstrate progression towards the MSN degree. (Minimum)
Faculty teaching graduate-level nursing courses must also meet the following educational requirements:
-Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) in nursing, education, or a closely related field (Desired) OR Master’s degree in nursing and enrollment in an approved program of study leading to a doctoral degree. (Minimum)
Experience:
-One to two years of clinical nursing experience within two years of employment. (Minimum)
-Relevant teaching experience on the secondary or postsecondary level. (Desired)
Abilities and Skills:
-Effective verbal and written communication skills. (Minimum)
-Developed organizational skills. (Minimum)
-Must be certified in CPR at the Basic Life Support level or higher, and maintain certification. (Minimum)
-Must possess a valid driver’s license. (Minimum)
-Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in the courses of the Nursing Programs. (Essential)
-Supervise, guide and instruct students in nursing laboratory, simulation, and clinical areas. (Essential)
-Maintain accurate written records of student performance. (Essential)
-Assist with curriculum review, revision, and development. (Marginal)
-Assist other faculty and school administrators with laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance. (Essential)
-Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines. (Essential)
-Attend department/team meetings as scheduled. (Essential)
-Must comply with policies and procedures of clinical sites where instructing students. (Essential)
-Complete the Qualifications and Professional Development form and an updated CV annually and submit to supervisor to demonstrate completion of continuing education requirements for PA state RN license. (Essential)
-Submit to supervisor a copy of nursing license upon initial hire and renewal. (Essential)
-Maintain all College and clinical site compliances annually and as requested. (Essential)
Physical Standards:
-Standing or walking for extended periods of time.
-Multiple physical positioning including full range of motion.
-Fine motor dexterity.
-Lifting up to 50 pounds.

-Schedules are varied to meet the needs of the program.
-Travel to other clinical sites will be required.
